Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

Merflor and I watched this movie last friday since Dear John was not yet showing at Marquee Mall.  The movie was good.  Graphics was great but in the end.. it's a teen movie.  Haha.  Just like Harry Potter.. but unlike Harry Potter movies vs books.. I can't compare since I haven't read any books written by Rick Riordan.

North Road Parking @ McKinley Hill [Automotive, Places]

Same rate for a lesser service

Coding Thursday is here again.  Waking up so early to rush and beat 7am so you won't get caught by traffic enforcers.  The difference now is I don't have the pleasure of getting a free parking outside the office building premises (North Road at the back of One World Square).  Started last February 8, 2010, there is now a parking rate of P50/12 hrs.  What? That's the same rate as the covered paid parking (see image below).  That's just crazy!  Why put the same rate as the obviously better service?  Maybe Megaworld owns everything.. But come on.. same rate and your car is sun dried or showered by nature..

Anyway, one thing that bothers me is that how come people are still parking outside.  Are they stupid?  Maybe somebody can comment about this.

Last note, I remember back when parking was still free.. the guards have a different look at me.. like I'm a suspicious person.  One time I saw bunch of people at motorcycle portion of the parking.. something was up.. maybe something was stolen.  So I tried digging and found on the web about motorcycles being stolen at the same parking lot. And it dawned to me.. Maybe the guards are thinking I'm a possible suspect since I'm driving a pick up  truck and parking there a lot.  Makes sense.  Motorcycles can be easily be lifted and put at the back of a pick up.  Crap.  Why am I always the suspicious person?  I'm not bad looking at all.  Oh well, not an issue anymore.  I'm parking at the multilevel parking from now on.  If it's the same rate and security is bad.. why park outside?  One thing that lingers on our minds.  If they charge the same rate now for the lesser service and people are still parking there.. what's stopping them from increasing the rate of the better service?

New Glasses [Health]

Ideal Vision

Man.. my eyes hurt.. last Sunday, I got my eyes checked at Ideal Vision in Megamall.  Well, I know there would be some changes with my lens grade since I'm having difficulty with my vision for the past weeks.  Now, I don't know if my eyes are still adjusting or if I don't have the right prescription glasses with me.  Both my sunglasses and my eyeglasses have the new lens.  Oh rats.. I just have to wait awhile if my eyes would adjust.. else.. I need to get the right lens grade for me.. Just a reminder for you guys who are using eyeglasses.. always get your eyes check every after six months.  You won't know if you need to get the lens change.  Take care of your eyes.. You only have two.  Definitely, you need those.

Sherlock Holmes [Movies]

Sherlock Holmes

I've seen this movie and I think it's just ok.  You won't see a stereotype Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. Watson (Jude Law) explaining about the mysteries but instead you get partners that both hate and need each other at the same time.  Yeah, they're like gay lovers or something but in an action packed movie, arguing their way to fight the villains.

Google Reader [Applications]

Google Reader

One tool that made my life easier for getting updates with all the blogs I read is the Google Reader.  I can read all the blogs that are listed on my reading list at my blogger and all other feeds.  As few friends know that I don't watch local channels, I can even read the feed from news sites and get updated with current events.  I don't need to wait for the scheduled TV news and just wait for the breaking news on the feed.

While waiting for my eyeglasses to be made, I had my lunch at Krispy Kreme.  I swear.. before.. just one new york cheese cake and I feel my blood sugar shoot up.  Haha.. I hate the feeling so what I usually get one of the "special" donuts and wash the sweet taste with coffee.
