North Road Parking @ McKinley Hill [Automotive, Places]

Same rate for a lesser service

Coding Thursday is here again.  Waking up so early to rush and beat 7am so you won't get caught by traffic enforcers.  The difference now is I don't have the pleasure of getting a free parking outside the office building premises (North Road at the back of One World Square).  Started last February 8, 2010, there is now a parking rate of P50/12 hrs.  What? That's the same rate as the covered paid parking (see image below).  That's just crazy!  Why put the same rate as the obviously better service?  Maybe Megaworld owns everything.. But come on.. same rate and your car is sun dried or showered by nature..

Anyway, one thing that bothers me is that how come people are still parking outside.  Are they stupid?  Maybe somebody can comment about this.

Last note, I remember back when parking was still free.. the guards have a different look at me.. like I'm a suspicious person.  One time I saw bunch of people at motorcycle portion of the parking.. something was up.. maybe something was stolen.  So I tried digging and found on the web about motorcycles being stolen at the same parking lot. And it dawned to me.. Maybe the guards are thinking I'm a possible suspect since I'm driving a pick up  truck and parking there a lot.  Makes sense.  Motorcycles can be easily be lifted and put at the back of a pick up.  Crap.  Why am I always the suspicious person?  I'm not bad looking at all.  Oh well, not an issue anymore.  I'm parking at the multilevel parking from now on.  If it's the same rate and security is bad.. why park outside?  One thing that lingers on our minds.  If they charge the same rate now for the lesser service and people are still parking there.. what's stopping them from increasing the rate of the better service?

Krispy Kreme Lunch [Food, Places]

While waiting for my eyeglasses to be made, I had my lunch at Krispy Kreme.  I swear.. before.. just one new york cheese cake and I feel my blood sugar shoot up.  Haha.. I hate the feeling so what I usually get one of the "special" donuts and wash the sweet taste with coffee.



I need to find sugar free donuts.. :)

After going to Don Bosco Academy - Mabalacat for the field demo of my nephew, Havrell, we decided to have our family lunch at Xtremely Xpresso Cafe at the Marquee Mall. This place sure is a good stop after visiting the hot air balloon festival at clark.. I'm still not sure if we'll be going.. :D  Anyway, Marquee Mall is just 15-30 mins away from Clark 

I decided before on my last post about Xtremely Xpresso Cafe to visit again.  Finally had lunch with the family.  This would be awesome :D

Marquee Mall [Places]

Marquee Mall

After going to the Don Bosco
Academy at Mabalacat for the foundation day.  We went to Marquee Mall to have lunch and to have some malling..

One of the attractions that is really fun for the kids is the fountain around the back.  Usually, I see kids playing here and you just see wet kids from time to time with their miscalculations with the running over the water openings :D

My brother and I decided to have our usual deflating tires checked.  We went to the Quiambao-Vitug Trading.  It's along McArthur Hi-way in front of the Lotto at Juliana, City of San Fernando. 

We both payed P100 each for our problematic tires =P

Xtremely Xpresso Cafe [Food, Places]

Xtremely Xpresso

I heard from my brother that Xtremely Xpresso Cafe was good. Flor and I decided to try and the experience was excellent. Better than I anticipated. Especially with the food.. quality and portions are big and tasty. The place is quite hot.. haha.. bad air conditioning.. well.. I'm always in heat so opinions might differ from person to person. But overall, I have nothing major to complain. I just have to plan when can we eat here again.. most likely with the rest of the family.

Whole baby back ribs order was a plateful.. with side dish of fries and corn, just made it more mouth watering

Try the "Big Ben" pizza. A big pizza (22 inches.. I think).. good for sharing.. and lots of toppings. I'll definitely order this again when we come back :)
